This group collects Australian Language Families subcategory members belonging to the western geographic branches of the Pama-Nyungan family, Australia's largest Aboriginal language family, covering the Pilbara region of Western Australia (the Ngayarda branch and the Kanyara-Mantharta group), the Pama-Nyungan languages of the Kimberley region and its Ngumpin-Yapa southern fringe, and Noongar of the southwest corner of Western Australia. Placement follows each member's own description naming a Pilbara, Kimberley or southwest Western Australian Pama-Nyungan branch or language.
