Jiwarli language

Jiwarli, also spelled Tjiwarli, is a Pama-Nyungan language of the Mantharta branch of the Kanyara-Mantharta group, traditionally spoken in the southern Pilbara region of Western Australia, and became extinct in 1986. It is one of four mutually intelligible varieties making up the Mantharta dialect cluster, alongside Tharrgari, Warriyangka and Thiin, a group whose own name, like the neighboring Kanyara branch, derives from the local word for man shared across all four varieties.
