Pinikura is an extinct Pama-Nyungan language of the Kanyara branch of the Kanyara-Mantharta group, traditionally spoken in the southern Pilbara region of Western Australia. Its relationship to the closely related Thalanyji language is treated inconsistently across sources, with some linguists describing a Pinikura-linked variety, Binigura, as a dialect of Thalanyji rather than as evidence of a fully separate Pinikura language. The Kanyara languages as a whole are spoken in the region between the mouths of the Gascoyne River and the Ashburton River, along the coast and extending inland.
