Navajo (Dine bizaad) is a Southern Athabaskan language of the Na-Dene family, spoken by about 170,000 people primarily in the Southwestern United States, especially within the Navajo Nation across Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. It is the most widely spoken Na-Dene language and, with English, one of the most widely spoken Indigenous languages of North America.
