Austroasiatic Languages

Austroasiatic is a large family of languages spoken across mainland Southeast Asia and scattered parts of eastern India, comprising the Munda languages of India and the much larger Mon-Khmer branch, which itself includes Vietnamese, Khmer and dozens of smaller languages grouped into named branches such as Khmuic, Palaungic, Bahnaric, Katuic, Pearic, Khasic and Aslian. This group holds every Eurasian Language Families member whose sourced description identifies it as Austroasiatic or as a member of one of these named branches, including the family's own reconstructed proto-language.
