The South Vanuatu languages are a family of nine Southern Oceanic languages spoken in Tafea Province, Vanuatu, on the islands of Tanna, Aneityum, Futuna, Erromango and Aniwa. They belong to the Oceanic branch of the Austronesian family, and their reconstructed ancestor, Proto-South Vanuatu, was proposed by linguist John Lynch in 2001.
