The North Vanuatu languages form a linkage of Southern Oceanic languages spoken across northern Vanuatu, part of the broader North-Central Vanuatu group. Classifications differ on the internal grouping: Ross Clark divided the languages into Northern and Espiritu Santo categories, while Alexandre Francois in 2015 counted seventeen Torres-Banks languages and nine languages of the Penama area alongside the separate Espiritu Santo group, together totaling more than sixty languages.
