The Votic languages are a branch of the Chibchan language family spoken in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, not to be confused with the unrelated Finnic Votic language. The branch comprises four languages: Rama, also known as Melchora, Voto, Boto, Arama and Arrama; Maleku, also called Guatuso; the unattested and uncertainly classified Corobici; and the extinct Huetar.
