Tsamosan languages

The Tsamosan languages, also called the Olympic Salish languages, are a division of the Salishan family spoken by the Southwestern Coast Salish peoples of Washington state. The division comprises four languages, Quinault, Lower Chehalis, Upper Chehalis and Cowlitz, and though once classified as a subgroup of Central Salish, they are now most often treated as a distinct branch on the strength of their own distinct phonology, morphology and syntax.
