Salishan is a family of indigenous languages of the Pacific Northwest, with member languages historically spoken across British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Its members include Halkomelem, Okanagan and Salish proper, most now spoken by very small numbers of fluent elders amid active community revitalization efforts.
