Boran, also known as Bora-Muinane, is a small language family of the northwestern Amazon consisting of just two languages: Bora, spoken in western Brazil's Amazonas state, and Muinane, spoken in southwestern Colombia's Amazonas department. Its wider genealogical relationship to the neighboring Witotoan family, sometimes hypothesized as a joint Bora-Witoto grouping, remains a proposal rather than a demonstrated connection.
