A browsing bucket for seven genealogically independent Asian families each represented by one or two live entities: Mongolic (Mongolian), Tungusic (Evenki), Japonic (Japanese), Koreanic (Korean), Kartvelian (Georgian), Austroasiatic (Khmer, Vietnamese) and Kra-Dai (Thai, Lao). Grouping them together is a browsing convenience only, not a claim that these families are related, including the historically proposed but not demonstrated "Altaic" link among Mongolic, Tungusic, Japonic and Koreanic. Does not belong here: Turkic, which this tree keeps as its own subcategory above despite carrying the same historical Altaic proposal.
