The Tarahumaran languages are a branch of the Southern Uto-Aztecan languages spoken in northern and western Mexico, comprising Tarahumara and Huarijio along with a small number of poorly attested extinct varieties. The languages were once grouped with the Cahitan and Opatan languages as a Taracahitic family, a classification no longer considered a valid genetic unit.
