The Matlatzincan languages are a pair of Oto-Manguean languages within the Oto-Pamean branch's western Oto-Pame-Chinantecan grouping, spoken in Mexico's State of Mexico and Michoacan. The family comprises Matlatzinca, spoken in San Francisco Oxtotilpan, and Tlahuica, also called Ocuiltec, spoken in several villages of Ocuilan, both moribund with only a small number of elderly fluent speakers remaining; a third variety, Pirinda, once spoken around Charo, may have been a dialect of Matlatzinca and became extinct in 1936.
