The Sirayaic languages are a sub-branch of the East Formosan group within the Formosan branch of the Austronesian family, spoken in southern Taiwan. The group comprises Siraya and the closely related Taivoan and Makatao, whose proto-language is estimated to have split from the other East Formosan languages around 3,500 years ago before the three varieties began to diverge roughly 3,000 years ago.
