The Edoid languages are a few dozen languages spoken in southern Nigeria, predominantly in Edo and Delta states, with smaller Edoid-speaking communities in Ondo, Bayelsa and Rivers states. The term derives from the group's most widely spoken member, Edo, and Edoid languages collectively have approximately 10 million primary and secondary speakers.
