Chibchan is a family of indigenous languages of Central America and northern South America, with member languages spoken in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela. Its largest living member is Ngabere, spoken by more than 200,000 people in Panama, while other members include Kuna and Kogi, and the extinct Muisca, once spoken by the Muisca civilization of the Colombian highlands.
