Adamorobe Sign Language, or AdaSL, is a village sign language used in Adamorobe, an Akan village in eastern Ghana, by about 30 deaf people and 1,370 hearing people as of 2003. It developed as an indigenous sign language fully independent of Ghana's standard national Ghanaian Sign Language, and because most of its users are hearing rather than deaf it is described as a shared sign language, a category that also includes the historical sign language of Martha's Vineyard in the United States.
