Wao Terero, the language of the Waorani (Huaorani) people, is a language isolate spoken in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador between the Napo and Curaray Rivers, with a small number of speakers among uncontacted groups possibly living across the border in Peru. It has also been known as Sabela and Awishiri. The UNESCO Atlas of the World Languages in Danger classifies it as Vulnerable.
