Taparita is an extinct language of the Venezuelan Llanos, generally grouped with the small Otomakoan language family alongside the better-attested Otomaco language. The main surviving source on it is a 1936 ethnographic and linguistic study by Angel Rosenblat, Los Otomacos y Taparitas de los llanos de Venezuela, and beyond the material that study preserves, very little further documentation of the language's grammar or vocabulary survives, and its exact date of extinction is not recorded.
