The Schouten languages are a linkage of Austronesian languages within the Western Oceanic and North New Guinea languages, spoken across the Schouten Islands and nearby coastal areas of northern Papua New Guinea in Sandaun, East Sepik and Madang provinces. The linkage comprises roughly seventeen languages organized into three groupings, the Siau family, the Kairiru linkage and the Manam linkage, spoken in contact with various North Papuan languages, particularly Skou and some Torricelli languages.
