The Wapei-Palei languages are spoken in the mountainous regions of eastern Sandaun Province, Papua New Guinea. The Wapei languages and the Palei languages together constitute a branch of the Torricelli language family, a classification credited to Donald Laycock's 1975 study as cited in William Foley's 2018 work.
