The Middle Sepik languages comprise a diverse group of Sepik languages spoken in northern Papua New Guinea, in areas surrounding the town of Ambunti in East Sepik Province. The grouping is provisionally accepted in William Foley's 2018 classification on the strength of shared innovations in pronouns, though Glottolog divides the same languages differently. Unlike most other Sepik languages, Middle Sepik languages do not overtly mark gender on nouns, although the third-person singular pronoun still distinguishes masculine and feminine.
