The Walio languages are a small family of four clearly related but not very mutually intelligible languages, Walio, Pei, Yawiyo and Tuwari, of the Central Leonhard Schultze River region in the Sepik River basin of Papua New Guinea; Walio and Yawiyo share only 12 percent lexical similarity. They are frequently classified among the Sepik languages, but Glottolog treats them as an independent family rather than including them within Sepik.
