The Nunusaku languages are a group of Malayo-Polynesian languages spoken on and around the island of Seram in Indonesia, none of which has more than about twenty thousand speakers, with several endangered with extinction. Their reconstructed ancestor, Proto-Nunusaku, merged the Proto-Malayo-Polynesian sounds written *z and *d as *d, and *l, *R and *j as *l.
