Saweru (also spelled Saweroe) is a Papuan language spoken by around 300 people on Saweru Island, just offshore from Yapen Island in Cenderawasih Bay, Indonesia. It is closely related to the Yawa language, of which it is sometimes considered a dialect, and the two together make up the small Yawa (Yawan) family.
