Elseng

New Guinea and Pacific Language Families

Elseng is a poorly documented Papuan language spoken by about 300 people in Indonesia's Papua province. It is also known as Morwap, a name derived from a local phrase meaning 'what is it', which speakers and government officials have vigorously rejected as a name for the language.
