The Baibai-Fas languages are a small family of two closely related languages, Baibai and Fas, also known as Momu, spoken in Papua New Guinea. The two languages share only around forty percent of their basic vocabulary, a relatively distant relationship for so small a family, and their classification history has been complicated by past confusion with the neighboring Kwomtari family, into which one of the two was mistakenly placed for a time.
