The Zoque languages form a primary branch of the Mixe-Zoquean language family, indigenous to southern Mexico and spoken by the Zoque people. There are over 100,000 speakers; a 2020 census recorded 74,000 people reporting their language as Zoque and an additional 36,000 as Sierra Popoluca, most of the remaining Popoluca speakers presumably also being Zoque.
