The Chuukic-Pohnpeic languages, historically called Trukic-Ponapeic, are a family of six Micronesian languages within the Oceanic branch of Austronesian, representing the westernmost and historically most recent wave of Micronesian settlement. The family divides into the Chuukic languages, including Chuukese, Carolinian and Mortlockese, and the Pohnpeic languages, including Pohnpeian, Mokilese, Pingelapese and Ngatikese, each forming its own dialect continuum.
