Q'anjobalan, also called Kanjobalan-Chujean, is a branch of the Mayan language family spoken in Chiapas, Mexico, and Huehuetenango, Guatemala. It divides into a Q'anjob'al-proper group (Akatek, Jakaltek, Q'anjob'al and Mocho') and a Chujean group (Chuj and Tojolabal). Within Mayan's broader Western branch it is classified alongside the Ch'olan languages, distinguishing it from the Eastern Mayan languages such as Mamean and Quichean.
