The Bengali-Assamese languages are a grouping of several languages of the eastern Indian subcontinent, part of the Eastern zone of the Indo-Aryan languages. Glottolog places Assamese, Bengali, Bishnupriya, Chakma, Chittagonian, Hajong, Kewat, Kharia Thar, Kurmukar, Lodhi, Mal Paharia, Noakhali, Rajbanshi, Rangpuri, Rohingya, Sylheti, Tangchangya and Surjapuri in this group.
