Keram languages

New Guinea and Pacific Language Families

The Keram languages of New Guinea are part of the Ramu family, comprising the Mongol-Langam languages and a pair of languages sometimes placed instead within the related Grass family, named for the Keram River. The linguist William Foley's 2018 classification places most Keram languages within the Grass branch of Ramu, while Timothy Usher instead treats Keram as coordinate with the Ramu family.
