The Nanaic languages form the southern branch of the Tungusic family, spoken across Manchuria and Sakhalin in Far East Russia and northeastern China. The group comprises Nanai, with its Hezhe, Najkhin, Kur-Urmi and Bikin dialects, along with the closely related Ulch and Orok languages.
