Southern Kuki-Chin is a branch of the Kuki-Chin languages within Tibeto-Burman, part of Sino-Tibetan, spoken mostly in southern Chin State, Myanmar, and in southeastern Bangladesh and India among the Chin people. A 2009 classification and a 2017 classification split the branch into an Asho group of four languages and a Cho group of five, though the 2017 work reclassifies languages formerly counted here, including Khumi, Mro and Rengmitca, as belonging instead to Khomic.
