Luwic is a branch of the extinct Anatolian languages of the Indo-European family, proposed by linguist Craig Melchert to group several Anatolian languages more closely related to each other than to the rest of the family. It comprises Luwian, Lycian, Carian, Sidetic, Pisidian and Milyan, attested across southern and southwestern Anatolia from Bronze Age Cuneiform Luwian of the sixteenth and fifteenth centuries BC through inscriptions in Pisidian as late as the second century AD.
