The West Papuan Highlands, or Irian Highlands, languages are a branch of the Trans-New Guinea language family proposed by the linguists Larson and Larson in 1972 and confirmed by Timothy Usher, comprising the Dani, Paniai Lakes and Amung-Dem families. The linguist William Foley considers the branch's Trans-New Guinea membership to be established.
