Israeli Sign Language, also known as Shassi or ISL, is the most commonly used sign language among the Deaf community of Israel. Other sign languages are also used within Israel, among them Al-Sayyid Bedouin Sign Language, a distinct village sign language that developed independently in a Bedouin community.
