Muskogean

This group collects members of the Muskogean family, historically spoken across the southeastern United States, including Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek (Muscogee) and related languages, one of the major indigenous language families of the American Southeast before nineteenth-century removal-era displacement scattered many of its speaker communities west into Indian Territory. Placement follows each member's own description naming it Muskogean.
