Indo-European: Balto-Slavic Branch

Balto-Slavic unites the Baltic languages, today reduced to Lithuanian and Latvian, with the much larger Slavic branch, which divides into East Slavic, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, West Slavic, Polish, Czech, Slovak, and South Slavic, Bulgarian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovenian, Macedonian. The two branches' shared ancestry within Indo-European is one of the more securely established groupings in the family. This child group, under Indo-European Branches, holds every Eurasian Language Families member whose sourced description identifies it as Baltic, Slavic or Balto-Slavic, or as a named branch within either.
