North Dravidian (or Brahui-Kurukh-Malto) has a reconstructed Proto-Northern Dravidian ancestor comprising Brahui, and Kurukh-Malto. Specialists differ somewhat on the internal grouping of its members. 1
Dravidianists differ somewhat in how Brahui, Kurukh and Malto are internally grouped (Subrahmanyam 1983, Zvelebil 1990, Krishnamurthi 2003), though the branch itself and its reconstructed Proto-Northern Dravidian ancestor are standard in the field.
