Algic

This group collects North American Language Families subcategory members belonging to the Algic family, anchored by its large Algonquian branch and including the more divergent Wiyot and Yurok languages of northern California, historically spoken from the Atlantic seaboard and the Great Lakes across the northern Great Plains to the Rocky Mountains, one of the most geographically extensive indigenous language families of North America. Placement follows each member's own description naming it Algic, Algonquian or Algonkian.
