Jurruru is an extinct Pama-Nyungan language of the Ngayarda branch, formerly spoken by the Tjuroro people near the Ashburton River in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Only two speakers remained in 1967, and the language was extinct by 1986. Grammatically it had nominative-accusative alignment rather than the split-ergative systems found in the neighboring Kanyara and Mantharta languages, and its pronoun system aligned more closely with other Ngayarda languages such as Panyjima than with its Kanyara-Mantharta neighbors.
