Kunwinjku, formerly written Gunwinggu, is the dominant dialect of the Bininj Kunwok language of West Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, spoken by the Kunwinjku people centered on the town of Gunbalanya. Its ethnic population is around 900, almost all of whom still speak the dialect despite increasing exposure to English, and the name Kunwinjku is sometimes used for the Bininj Kunwok language as a whole.
