Gunwinyguan, also spelled Gunwinjguan or Gunwingguan and sometimes called core Gunwinyguan, is a proposed family of seven Australian Aboriginal languages spoken in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. Its most populous member is Kunwinjku, also known as Bininj Kunwok, with roughly 1,500 speakers. The family's current membership was proposed by the linguist Rebecca Green in 2003, and it has in turn been grouped within a still broader and more speculative proposal sometimes called Macro-Gunwinyguan or the Arnhem languages.
