Uto-Aztecan

This group collects members of the Uto-Aztecan family, one of the largest indigenous language families of the Americas by geographic range, spanning from the Great Basin and the American Southwest (Hopi, the Numic and Tepiman languages) south through northern and western Mexico to the Nahuatl languages of central Mexico, the language of the Aztec empire. Placement follows each member's own description naming it Uto-Aztecan or Nahuatl.
