Lardil is a moribund Tangkic language of the Wellesley Islands in Queensland, Australia, traditionally spoken on Mornington Island and Bentinck Island and grouped with the related Tangkic languages Kayardild and Yukulta. The 2016 census recorded 65 speakers; the last fluent speaker of traditional Lardil died in 2007, though a few speakers of a grammatically simplified variety called New Lardil remain. UNESCO classifies it as critically endangered.
