Kingkel is a putative small branch of the Pama-Nyungan language family proposed for Queensland, Australia, consisting of two languages, Bayali and Dharumbal, that are not themselves closely related. Later reclassification work has proposed Darumbal as a Maric language and a sister of Mbabaram, while Bayali has been grouped instead with the Waka-Kabi languages to the south, leaving the Kingkel grouping itself disputed.
