Gamilaraay, also called Kamilaroi, is a Pama-Nyungan language of the Wiradhuric subgroup, traditionally spoken across south-eastern Australia by the Gamilaraay people. Though classified as endangered, its recorded speaker count grew from 87 in the 2011 Australian census to 105 in 2016, and the language is now taught in some schools.
