The Tsouic languages are three Formosan languages of Taiwan: Tsou proper and the southern languages Kanakanavu and Saaroa. Kanakanavu and Saaroa have the smallest phonemic inventories of any Formosan language, each with only 13 consonants and 4 vowels, and both are highly endangered as speakers shift to Bunun or Mandarin Chinese.
